Making gingerbread houses is a fun pastime in many households during the holiday season. They are not known for being easy to make, but if you have the patience and can get it right, they are beautiful. For the most part, gingerbread houses that are made during the holiday season are square or rectangular. But perhaps think outside the box this time and make a cylindrical one. A pipe diameter tape measure will be key to measuring your festive house, and maybe you can even invent a new holiday game: Guess the diameter of the gingerbread house!

The term has nothing to do with magnetism or magnesium or manganese or magnificent. The term came from the founder, Anthony Maglica.
Mr. Maglica’s life story is a perfect example of the American dream. He had a poor man’s beginnings, and created an empire out of nothing. For a full history of this man’s dream, refer to the Maglite history page. He was born in New York City during the depression, but was raised in his mother’s homeland, Croatia. When he was about 20 years old, he returned to the USA to escape the political turmoil following Word War II.
Long story short, he learned English on his own, started Mag Instrument in 1974, and introduced the first Maglite in 1979. From then on, Mr. Maglica has made many improvements on that first torch. Some of the milestones are:
Making a hard plastic gift box, to increase the perceived value of the Maglite as a gift.
Changing from an incandescent bulb to an LED, then to a COB bulb.
Making various sizes and colors of flashlights.
Developing several rechargeable versions.
Making models that can be operated with one hand.
Colored bulbs
Making programmed models that have 3 or 4 modes of lighting, like high, medium, low, strobe, SOS.
Mr. Maglica is still committed to keeping the manufacturing in the United States.
Now that the 2022 Holiday season is upon us, many people have begun shopping for their nearest and dearest. It is easy to get caught up in all of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, spending money on frivolous items. That’s why today is an important day to remember during the holidays: Giving Tuesday. Consider this: – Donate money to a local charity or non-profit in your area -Order a Lufkin tape measure and donate them to a local company
Some habits are healthy for us: eating a balanced diet, being kind to others, being on time. On the other hand, some habits can really harm our bodies. Today is the Great American Smokeout, the first day towards building a healthier lifestyle for those who smoke.
Need some tips to help you kick the habit?
Take it one day at a time. It’s not a race.
Have a support team of friends & family who will be by your side
If you need a few more tips, look for your doctor’s phone number on your architect scale ruler. They have even more resources for you that will help you on your journey. Good luck!
Today let’s stand together to honor and celebrate all who have served in the United States military. Our courageous and selfless veterans carry a badge of courage, and we can never fully repay them. In honor of Veterans Day 2022, think of engraving Maglite flashlights with “Thank You, Veterans” and passing them out at your town’s local celebration. It’s the least we can do to honor our country’s heroes.
We are faced with the time changing back to standard time this month, and the approach of the shortest day of the year next month. If you work day shift, you might be driving to work in the dark, and returning home from work in the dark. This is the ideal time of year to make use of your engraved flashlights. Make sure you have extra batteries near your torches. Good news..After we get over this hump, we are headed back to “normal”.
It’s the age-old question: should Daylight Savings be permanent or not? Sure, we get to have an extra hour of sleep this Sunday, but that also comes with an earlier sunset. Having the sun set before dinnertime is a little silly, right?
What if a diameter tape measure could solve this problem? To be honest, it probably wouldn’t help at all, but it would be a nice promotional gift to your customers.
This week, schools across the country are coming together to celebrate National Red Ribbon Week. This week we bring awareness to the negative impacts that drugs have on our lives and those around us. Let’s make a better future for our children and teach them to make right choices now and as they grow older.
Are schools around you celebrating this week? Here are some fun ideas to write down in your tally books:
