So your boss wants you to check into getting some Maglites® for the next safety awards meeting. He wants each Maglite engraved with the company logo, and “2018 Safety Award”.
Here are the 7 questions he wants you to find answers to….
Can we have them by the end of next month?
Are they available in our corporate colors of green and white?
Can I see a virtual proof before we order?
Can I see an actual sample of the flashlight laser engraved with our imprint, before they are put into production?
Can we stay within our budget?
What kind of art file is needed for the imprint? What is vector art?
Can we open an account, and have Net60 terms?
You can find the answers to all these questions by going online. Find a reputable vendor, and talk to him, to see if he can deliver what you want. If you have any doubts, just call the next vendor in line. The internet is a great place to solve problems like this. What did we do 40 years ago, without the internet? You might not have been able to get these 7 questions answered.
Flashlights have come a long way in the last 70 years. They used to have an incandescent bulb, and 2 D batteries. The batteries would leak throughout the flashlight as it sat in a drawer for a few months. This would destroy your torch. Sometimes the battery company would replace your flashlight if it was ruined by a leaky battery.
Today we have:
LED bulbs, which are brighter than incandescent bulbs.
CREE bulbs, which are brighter LED bulbs.
COB bulbs (chip on board) which are really bright.
Are you thinking about giving your employees a safety award for having no accidents in 12 months? If you want to use engraved Maglites, here are 5 valuable suggestions:
Plan ahead. Maglite engraving usually takes 1 or 2 weeks. It can be done faster, if you have a short deadline.
Find your best version of your company logo. Vector art is needed for a superior job of engraving. A hi resolution jpg will work, but the promotional product distributor needs to convert it to vector art, the language of laser machines.
Pick a reputable on-line Maglite representative, and one who communicates well with you.
Choose a Maglite that is the right size for your employees. The biggest one holds 4 D cells. The smallest one holds one AAA cell.
Give out your engraved Maglite safety awards at a dinner, or a special meeting. That makes the gift seem more valuable, and memorable.
Engraved flashlights by Starline were a big hit at the OPPA product show in Cleveland Ohio. The promotional product show on January 25 was exclusively for distributors of business gifts.
A powerful torch, and big seller, is this FL129 by Starline. It is super bright (250 lumens, and utilizes the COB (chip on board) technology. When you pull out the head, it shows the alternate flood light. A swivel neck, and magnetic base make this work light a winner.
