So in that respect, they are used extensively in the oil refinery and oil drilling industries. If the price of gasoline goes up, the production and drilling associated with that, increases the demand for tools used in the industry. More diameter tapes would be required, also.
- Shipping costs. If the price of diesel goes up, the trucking companies that deliver products like Lufkin Tape Measures, will raise the shipping cost. That cost will increase the retail price of the tape measures.
So that’s how the price of gasoline is tied to the the price of the Lufkin Tape Measure.
